CORNERSTONE COMMUNITY CENTER

TULSA, OK

n 2007, The Greater Cornerstone Community Development Foundation hired TriArch to help realize a dream for the west side of Tulsa.  South Haven neighborhood had been taken over by gangs and drugs, but there were a few individuals who wanted to change that.  TriArch created a video that "told the story" for the foundation, and they used it to sell others on the vision.  Habitat For Humanity built over 80 homes in the area, and the residents began to take back their neighborhood.  Cornerstone Community Center was built to provide much-needed social services for people on the west side.  It houses a medical clinic, after school programs, a community meeting room, commercial kitchen, job training, consignment clothing, food pantry, and a full gymnasium for basketball leagues and performances.  The center was opened in 2012.

TriArch won the People's Choice Award at the 2014 AIA Eastern Oklahoma Design Excellence Awards for the design.
