TULSA, OK – TriArch Architecture was awarded the People’s Choice Award in the “Small Commercial” category at the 2014 AIA Eastern Oklahoma Design Excellence Awards on Friday night, November 14, 2014. The award was voted by the general population online and the winner was one of 6 other nominations.
The award went toward the design of the Cornerstone Community Center, located on the west side of Tulsa. The building uses contemporary stylings to achieve a sense of transparency and honesty with the materials. The building serves the needs of the lower-income neighborhood around it with a medical clinic, job training programs, after school programs, consignment clothing distribution, a food pantry, and recreational activities and community events. The building cost $3.5 Million and is 22,500 sqft. It was completed in 2013.
